Hydrotherapy Pool

Hydrotherapy pools are a vital component for healing or relief from pain for those who suffer arthritis or injuries. Unfortunately the nearest hydrotherapy pool is Croydon for those in the Yarra Valley. This does make life far more difficult for those who are in pain to have to travel this substantial distance before and after the therapy. Lets gather together and lobby to have a hydrotherapy pool installed at Yarra Junction. Contact UYCV for further information or post here.

Motion for Councillor to act on 'Ethical Paper Pledge'

At tonight's meeting of the Upper Yarra Community Voice, the committee unanimously resolved to request O'Shannassy Ward Councillor, Cr Chris Templer to submit a Notice of Motion to Yarra Ranges Council to have the Council withdraw from the Wilderness Society's 'Ethical Paper Pledge' and to reengage negotiations with VicForests and the State Government to relocate VicForests head-office to Yarra Glen. Cr Templer was present at the meeting but gave no commitment to submit the Notice of Motion, he did however reaffirm his position of not supporting the original sign up to the 'Ethical Paper Pledge' on 27 April 2011.
